Astor Theatre, Melbourne Overview
The Astor Theatre in St Kilda is one of Australia's last single-screen art deco cinemas, still running double features of classics and cult films most weeks on a big screen with a 4K digital projector and full sound system. The 1936 auditorium is heritage-listed, so the seats are original rather than modern recliners, worth knowing if a long double bill is planned. It's a short walk from Balaclava station, with several St Kilda restaurants nearby for before or after.
