How To Reach Pilikula Nisargadhama

Pilikula Nisarga Dhama is located in Vamanjoor which is about 7 kilometres away from the city centre and is easily accessible by road. Public transport is easily available from any part of the city. Tourists need to take the route via Bajpe Road and head to Padushedde Road to reach Mudushedde. From here, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Pilikula Nisarga Dhama in Vamanjoor.

Bus no. 3S, 3A and 3B are direct buses from Statebank to Pilikula Nisargadhama.
Bus No. 3K. 3C, 3A are direct buses from Kankanady to Pilikula Nisargadhama.

The Biological Park at Pilikula Nisargadhama majorly focuses on the wildlife found in the Western Ghats of India. The park is designed and maintained to resemble the natural habitat of the animals and is spread across an area of 80 hectares. It also has a fully equipped Veterinary Hospital with labs and observation cages. The area is well maintained and has proper facilities for the wildlife.

Science Centre

The Regional Science Centre is a perfect place to enrich one's knowledge of science with the help of interactive exhibits and fascinating games and learning activities. The centre has a 3D theatre and Taramandal which is an artificially created starlit sky.

The Botanical Museum was created to save the endangered species of plants found only in the Western Ghats of India along with maintaining and protecting the ecology of the region. The museum has 235 different species of endangered plants while several other species of plants are also grown and maintained at the museum. They also have a plant nursery, a greenhouse, orchidariums and vanilla plantations. They are actively involved in encouraging children and locals to protect the ecology and to help increase earning opportunities for small-scale local farmers by providing them with enough guidance that helps them maintain flowering plants, medicinal and decorative plants. They also provide demonstrations on vermin and organic waster compost.

Heritage Village

The heritage village at Pilikula Nisargadhama is a complex recreated over 35 areas of land to give the guests a feel of the authentic rural lifestyle of the Agrarian Community. The village has exhibits of Nagabana, Guthu House, Buffalo Racetrack, Coconut Gardens, tools, and traditional artefacts that represent the community.
