Due to the possibility of heavy rains or floods in Assam, the park remains closed during this time and is only partially open during October. The roads inside the national park are generally inaccessible making it challenging to explore the park during this time.

Winters are the best time to visit the Manas National Park. The temperature usually ranges between 15 and 25 degrees Celcius, making it an ideal season for sightseeing. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as elephant safaris, jeep safaris, river rafting, bird-watching and more! Post monsoon season, there may be lesser visibility and thus, lower chances of seeing the wildlife especially during November and December.
