One of the latest additions to the list of Kep attractions for the tourists, the farm is home to hundreds of species of colourful butterflies thriving in a beautiful garden rich in the local flora. Close to Kep National Park, the farm is worth a short trip.

Kep Butterfly Farm History & Significance

Kep Butterfly Farm was established by an American expat family to preserve the local species of wild butterflies. They focus on training local Cambodians in Butterfly farming and have helped to create local employment opportunities. It is located amidst dense jungles, and you can hike or cycle from the National Park uphill. There are no shops or restaurants nearby or within the premises. So it is recommended to carry some snacks and water.

How To Reach Kep Butterfly Farm

Kep Butterfly Farm is located on the Jasmine valley trail before Jasmine Valley Eco Resort. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the farm from Kep downtown. The best way to get is to rent a motorbike for about 8 USD per day or hire a Tuk-Tuk which would cost about 10 USD for a return trip(can be shared).
