The Playground, Johannesburg Overview
The Playground is a weekly market that takes place every Saturday on Juta Street, Johannesburg. The market features live musical performances, gourmet street food and a display of local fashion items.
There are more than 30 food and drink stalls and regular events, which include wine and cheese tasting, painting workshops and exhibitions at Yoco Hub. The place aims to showcase youth talent by providing space for young artists to display their work. It is a cashless venue, and parking is limited. It replaced the earlier Braamfontein’s famed Neighbourgoods Market, which shut down during the pandemic.
