Genting Highlands

The only legal land-based casino in Malaysia is housed in Resorts World Genting, namely SkyCasino and Genting Casino. There are several casinos spread throughout the area which are open for 24 hours, some of them have a conventional gambler atmosphere while others are more friendly and provide an undivided atmosphere for all the visitors. In Genting, there are approximately 426 tables and more than 3000 machines available for gambling all the time.

The different table games include baccarat, roulette and Chinese games like tai sai and pai gow. Monte Carlo Casino in Genting Highlands Hotel, Hollywood Casino in Genting Highlands Hotel and StarWorld Casino in First World Hotel are some impressive casinos. The only requirements to have fun at the casinos are having a Genting WorldCard system access (which requires the visitor's passport)) to be able to withdraw the amount won and the minimum age is 21 years.

A dress code is applicable for entering the casinos which restricts entry in sandals, T-shirts and shorts. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the casinos and bags are also not allowed inside. Locker and manned deposit point facility is available.

Genting Highlands experiences a pleasant weather all year round with the temperature varying between 15 degrees Celcius to 28 degrees Celcius, owing to its altitude. It is recommended to visit the town between the months of March and September to avoid rainfall, experience the best weather conditions, amazing views and be able to enjoy all outdoor activities.

The monsoon season lasts October to March which is often supported by some rain storms. If looking for cheap accommodation deals, monsoon season is a good time to visit. During April and May, summer vacations make the place extremely crowded with locals.
