Magod Falls, Dandeli Overview

Situated at a distance of around 17 km from Yellapur in Karnataka, Magod Falls, also known as Magodu Falls is a group of waterfalls that cascade down a height of 200 m. The falls are formed when River Bedti falls down from the rocky cliffs. Known to be a popular picnic spot, the place is also frequented by photographers and nature lovers.

Located near Sathodi falls, these group of waterfalls are located in the Uttar  Kannada district. The Magod fall goes dry during summers and appears misty in the monsoon season. It lies in between dense forest cover. There is no entry fee for visiting this spot, and it is open on all days of the week.

The best time to visit Magod Falls is during the monsoons i.e. between July and September, when the rains wash up the entire area and it comes alive with shades of green and blue. One should refrain from planning a trip during summer as the waterfalls remain dry.
