Dallas DeGolyer Estate, Dallas Overview

Dallas DeGolyer Estate consists of the 4.5-acre DeGolyer Gardens adorned by 21,000 sq ft. home of the famous geophysicist and philanthropist Everette Lee DeGolyer. It is a landmark in Dallas and the estate forms a part of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.

The Dallas DeGolyer Estate is known for its lush green gardens with the signature Octagon Fountain and picture-worthy landscapes. The estate has been well maintained and still retains original gardens from the 1940s when it was built, including the Magnolia Allee and the Sunken Garden. It is best to visit in January and February for Wisteria and Tulips Blooming on the DeGolyer Pergola. Additionally, the DeGolyer House is open daily for tours too and the DeGolyer Restaurant serves as a brilliant lunch option during the visit.
