"A 68-metre love-lock bridge on the Han River, steps from Dragon Bridge."

Love Bridge (Cau Tinh Yeu), Da Nang Overview

Love Bridge, known locally as Cau Tinh Yeu, is a 68-metre pedestrian bridge on the eastern bank of the Han River in Da Nang's Son Tra district, built in May 2015. Couples fasten heart-shaped padlocks to its black railings and throw the keys into the river as a symbol of lasting love. Red heart-lanterns light the love trees along the walkway at night. The bridge sits about 100 metres from Dragon Bridge, a popular vantage point for the weekend fire show, and stays open 24 hours with no entry fee.

Love Bridge (Cau Tinh Yeu) opened in May 2015 on Tran Hung Dao Street in Da Nang's An Hai Nam ward, beside the Carp Dragon Statue on the Han River's east bank. The 68-metre, 6-metre-wide pedestrian walkway is lined with black handrails and red lantern-hung love trees. Visitors buy padlocks from nearby stalls for around 50,000 VND, write two names on the lock, fix it to the railing, and toss the key into the river. Facing the Dragon Bridge and Han River Bridge directly across the water, it is one of the best free spots to watch the dragon's weekend fire show, and it stays open around the clock with free admission.
