Spianada Square, Corfu Overview

Spianada Square is one of the main landmarks in Corfu. Influenced by the Venetians, it was built to enhance the defensive work of the Old Fortress to safeguard it from Ottoman attacks. The huge square contains a cricket field and fancy buildings like The Palace of St. Michael and St. George.
