One of the more recent fine art galleries in Bali, Museum Rudana exhibits a variety of sculptures and artwork by famous Indonesian and international painters. Founded by art collector Nyoman Rudana in 1995, the museum is spread across three levels surrounded by lush rice fields and displays emerging artists in a bid to boost the local art scene. Ideally visited in August for memorial events around the Indonesian Independence day.
Museum Rudana displays a rich collection of classical and cultural Bali paintings, which was established with the motive to boost the art scene of Bali and encourage bubbling artists by giving them a platform to showcase their art throughout the year. The arrangement of the exhibits is designed in a manner to reflect the spatial and aesthetic values which are beautifully woven in the harmony of Balinese culture and values.
