How to reach : Baratang is about 100 km from Port Blair, and visitors can get there by car, bus or ferry. The government bus leaves from STS Bus Terminal (Aberdeen Bazaar) and takes 2 hours 30 minutes, costing INR 80. The ferry takes approximately 90-120 minutes to get to Baratang while a car or cab takes about 2 hours 45 minutes, the latter costing approximately INR 4500 for 6-7 people, inclusive of permits. Visitors can also take a ferry from Nilambur Jetty, which will take about 15 minutes, followed by a 160m climb up to the volcanoes.
