No holiday trip is complete without visiting Lonavala. Lonavala is a hill station town that is near Pune city, and it makes for a great stop if you’re on a tight schedule. You can choose to take the Mumbai-Pune Expressway or the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway to get to Lonavala. It’s the perfect place to grab some chai and sit with friends overlooking the scenic landscapes of the Western Ghats, deep valleys, and lakes. The ideal time to visit Lonavala is between October and May. Once in Lonavala, you can also visit Khandala, which is at a distance of 5 kilometres.
