The Jayakarta Bali Beach Resort

I ordered the pickup from the airport by contacting Jayakarta through booking.com, who did not show up. I had to manage a taxi by myself, which was not pleasant in that hot humid environment, plus we were really tired after a long flight. Then, we arrived at the hotel at 10 pm. The first room we checked in had big American COCKROACHES (I had to write capital as I hate them a lot and they almost ruined our holiday in Bali). A few of them were the biggest I saw in my life. This was not a good start to staying at this hotel. The staff came to spray some mosquito poison, which did not help, and the first day we stayed (I could not sleep) in a cockroach-invaded room. The next day, we requested to change our room and were offered a room upstairs, away from the restaurant and pool. Thankfully, in this room, we did not see any cockroaches rest of our stay. This one was much more comfortable and cleaner than the first. Even so, the room needed cleaning especially the floor as it was too dirty and disgusting. Not just wipe, please wash the room floors!!!! I found the restaurants were expensive compared to the portion, taste, and quality of the dishes. So, we eat out of the hotel most of the days. Hope, the rooms and dishes will get better in the future.

My recent stay at this hotel left me utterly frustrated and disappointed with their service. From the very beginning, it was clear that their customer service was severely lacking. The hotel lost my booking details, forcing me to repeatedly remind them about my late checkout request. Even before I left for my trip from Australia, I had sent them an email confirming my late checkout, and they assured me it was all set. However, upon my arrival, they denied any knowledge of my request, despite having the correspondence and communication to prove it. After much back and forth, they claimed to have updated their system with my request. To my dismay, the next day, when I checked with the front desk, they once again insisted that there was no such request in their system. I had to go through the same frustrating exercise of showing them my emails and messages to prove that the request had been made. The most infuriating part of this ordeal was their inconsistency in pricing. Initially, they confirmed the cost for the late checkout, and I was willing to pay it. However, they suddenly changed their stance, stating that the cost was not for the suite I was staying in and demanded double the price to extend my stay, as they claimed most rooms were fully booked. Once again, I had to display all the correspondence and messages exchanged, and they assured me that they had updated their system with the correct information. To my absolute surprise, the very next day, I discovered that all my details had been lost again, and I was forced to go through the same exasperating process of explaining my situation once more. This level of incompetence and inconsistency in their service left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed with my stay. It's evident that their management and communication systems need serious improvement to avoid causing such frustration and inconvenience to their guests.
