Cameo Island, Zakynthos Overview
Cameo island is located on Laganas Bay near the Agios Sostis area. The small island is famous for its picturesque views and beach bar called the Cameo Beach Club, which is a popular spot amongst youngsters for night parties and weddings. Visitors can enjoy swimming or snorkelling in the mesmerising turquoise waters amongst the endangered Loggerhead turtles, fishes, and sea urchins. Cameo also has a small church called the Agios Sostis Port Chapel.
The islet is surrounded by high cliffs and tall green trees and is connected to the mainland via a pretty wooden footbridge. It came into existence due to its separation from the mainland due to an earthquake. The Laganas beach is right across the island and is famous for its watersports.
