Tipperary Viewpoint

Tipperary Viewpoint sits at the southernmost end of Yercaud and can be reached via Tipperary Road, with sweeping views along the way. The Elephant Tooth Rocks, believed to be remnants of a meteorite, can be seen from here.

Though all the surrounding hills are made up of black granite, this rock is pure white in colour. An adjoining estate known as Tippery Estate is almost joined to the Tippery Viewpoint and was also once a classy hotel in British India from the 1930s to 1940s.

One can also enjoy the beautifully lit view of the town of Salem at night from the viewpoint which is about 2 km away from the Yercaud Bus Stand. The adventure lovers also list down this place as one of their favourites for carrying out treks and other adventurous activities.
