Loro Parque, in Spanish, refers to as "parrot park". It is a zoo located on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife, covering an area of 13.5 hectares. It houses a diverse range of animal and plant species. The park was conceived to be a paradise for the parrots and has the largest collection of parrots in the world. There are various shows in the park, featuring sea lions, dolphins and parrots. There is a huge parrot museum along with a parrot baby station. There is also a separate children's playground named Kinderlandia.
