From the very beginning, the (Read More)ir team was professional, supportive, and always available whenever we needed assistance. The cab service was excellent, with a comfortable and clean vehicle and a very cooperative driver. The entire itinerary was well planned, and everything—from transportation and sightseeing to hotel and houseboat arrangements—was managed smoothly and on time. The team genuinely cares about their customers and makes sure you enjoy your trip without any stress. The journey was memorable and well managed. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful (Read More)destinations, including Srinagar, Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam, and appreciated the support provided throughout the tour . A special thanks to our driver, Mr. Altaf, who was a very nice, courteous, and lovely person. His friendly nature, local knowledge, and helpful attitude made our travel experience comfortable and enjoyable. He played a significant role in creating wonderful memories for our family throughout the trip.
I would also like to share one point of feedback regarding the hotel provided in (Read More) Gulmarg. The hotel was not satisfactory and did not meet the expectations set for the package. I would request that better accommodation options be considered for future guests visiting Gulmarg.

Sonamarg Travel Essentials

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Sonamarg is from May to October, when temperatures range between 10°C and 25°C, and the valley is open for sightseeing, trekking, and pony rides to glaciers. Spring and summer bring meadows of flowers, while autumn offers golden views of the surrounding forests. November to April is winter, when heavy snowfall cuts off road access, though it becomes a base for snow treks and skiing for adventure seekers.

Ideal Duration & Popular Itineraries
Sonamarg holidays usually last 2 to 3 days, often combined with Srinagar, Gulmarg, or Pahalgam. Popular formats include:
  • 2 Days: Local sightseeing, pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier, and walks along the Sindh River.
  • 3 Days: Adds excursions to Zoji La Pass and lakes like Vishansar and Krishansar (summer only).

Top Things to Do
  • Take a pony ride or short trek to Thajiwas Glacier
  • Drive to Zoji La Pass for Himalayan views (open in summer)
  • Trek to high-altitude lakes such as Vishansar, Krishansar, and Gangbal
  • Go rafting on the Sindh River
  • Enjoy meadow walks and photography in flower-filled valleys
  • Camp under the stars during summer treks

Top Destinations Combined with Sonamarg
Sonamarg packages are often combined with:
  • Srinagar for Dal Lake and Mughal Gardens
  • Gulmarg for skiing and gondola rides
  • Pahalgam for valleys and river landscapes
  • Leh via Zoji La Pass as part of a longer Ladakh circuit

Why Book a Package for Sonamarg
  • Transport ease: Road journeys from Srinagar (80 km) are arranged with local drivers familiar with mountain roads.
  • Glacier trips organized: Pony rides and permits for Thajiwas Glacier are included.
  • Seasonal planning: Packages ensure visits during accessible months, avoiding road closures.
  • Limited stays: Resorts and guesthouses in Sonamarg are few, secured early through packages.
  • Seamless circuits: Packages combine Sonamarg with Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam for a complete Kashmir experience.
