Krishnasar Lake is located in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, at an altitude of 3,710 meters above sea level. The lake is one of the highest-altitude lakes in the Kashmir Valley and is part of the famous trekking route known as the Great Lakes Trek. It is surrounded by green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and forests, and is a popular spot for camping, picnicking, and fishing in clear waters.
The lake is also home to a variety of fish species, including brown trout and rainbow trout, making it a popular spot for anglers. It is surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountains and the pine and deodar forests that are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, and visitors can spot a variety of bird species, including golden eagles, bearded vultures, and Himalayan monals.
