I would recommend driving your own car. Shimla is within a decent distance of about 350 KM from Delhi, and the route is via Chandigarh. The drive upto Chandigarh is amazing if you're a speedhead, and (Read More) after that, its a reward for nature freaks. Having your own car around always makes it better and makes the drive more fun.

Shimla is a very good place to go in the month of February to experience snowfall. Most of Himachal and Kashmir Valley experience good amount of snowfall in the month of January & February.
