New Children's Museum, San Diego Overview

New Children's Museum is an interactive museum that is a not-for-profit organization in downtown San Diego, California. It is a novel model of the Children's Museum that operates with a mission to pique creativity, imagination, and critical thinking in children and families via inventive and captivating experiences with modern art. The museum encourages children to think, play, and create through engrossing exhibitions, art-oriented activities, artistic performances, and educational opportunities.

There's always something new here to learn & experience for children of all ages, from small kids to preteen. It involves both permanent and transitory exhibitions as well. The newest artistic installation of the museum is the Whammock the mesmerizing colorful 3-D textile structure resembles a giant hammock embracing crocheted circles, hanging pendulums, and open pockets.

A parking facility is available at the underground garage of NCM at $10 on weekdays and $15 on weekends. Also, several public parking areas are available in the surrounding neighborhood.
