The Museum of Modern Art, New York City Overview

Popularly known as MoMA, the Museum of Modern Arts of Midtown Manhattan was founded in 1929 and has a reputation of being the most influential and largest museums across the globe.

It plays a significant role in collecting and upholding modern art including contemporary painting, design, architecture, drawing, photography, sculpture, electronic media, film, prints, and illustrated books. The evolving collection includes nearly two hundred thousand contemporary and modern art, three hundred thousand books, exhibition catalogs, over forty thousand ephemera files, and over a thousand periodical tiles. You need to book tickets in advance –USD 25 for adults, USD 18 for seniors above 65, USD 18 for those with a disability, and USD 14 for students. Kids aged 16 and below can enter free of cost. Open throughout the year from 10:30 AM till 5:30 PM, except on Christmas and Thanksgiving, the museum has eateries namely MoMA PS1, Terrace Café, Café 2, and The Modern.
