Nasik is famous for its shopping streets and is a bumper lottery for the shopaholics. One can find a range of items starting from handicrafts, silver items, souvenirs to ancient copper remains and statues of brass. This wine city is also well-known for its chivda grapes and wine. Restaurants, eateries and other outlets where one can sit and enjoy the delicacies surround the city. Every three years, Kumbh Mela is organized in the city which is attended by numerous tourists from across the country.
The city is well known for the variety of jewelry that it possesses such as Amruta Jewelry, Dhanvardhini Jewelry, Gulawanchkar Jewelers, Heena Jewelry and Dusane & Sons. Some jewelers present in the city today have been here for more than 50 years.
There are numerous famous textiles in the city as well including Amarson cloth center, Anil cloth center, Babubhai cloth center, beauty corner, Bombay silk stores, Ganpati cloth store and Harish cloth stores. Nasik Chivada is the specialty snack of the city. Though the city of Nasik is spread over 15-20 km only, it very well serves the shopping needs of the tourists.
