Aamby Valley, Lonavala Overview

Aamby Valley is a beautiful township about 24 kilometres from Lonavala, in the district of Pune in Maharashtra, India. It has been developed by Sahara India Parivar. The 10,000-acre hilly terrain that the township now occupies has been converted into a splendid landscape through designs that are best suited for the environment and have an urban infrastructure compatible to international standards. The township is frequented for a day-long picnic or a weekend getaway by many. Things To Do at Aamby Valley

Water Sports 
There are three enormous man-made lakes and about 11 water bodies in the township making it a hot spot for water sports. Jet skiing, Pontoon Boating, Pirate Ship, Waterfall Safari, Speed Boating are some of the water sports that are held here.

Outdoor Activities 
Aamby Valley has a marvellous Golf course built on the British Golf Architecture with 18 holes that is an apt outdoor activity for recreational purposes. Aero Modelling, Drag race etc. are a few more activities that are held in the township.

Adventure Sports 
Adventure sports like Sky Diving, All Terrain Vehicle rides, Zorbing, Rappelling, Jungle Safari, Rock Climbing, Trekking, Hiking, Paintball Shooting, Camping etc. are some of the sports held here.

History of Aamby Valley

Aamby Valley was developed by Sahara India Parivar under the management of Chairman Subrata Roy Sahara over his aspiration to create India's first planned Hill City. The acquisition of land had begun in 1990. By 2016, Sahara had spent about INR 195 billion on the project. The township was designed to include the three most important aspects of life, Sukh (Happiness), Shanti (Peace) and Santusthi (Contentment). In 2017, Aamby valley was shut down because of a legal battle due to non-payment of dues and taxes and was opened after partial payment was made.

Best Time To Visit Aamby Valley

The best time to visit Aamby Valley is between October and March as the temperature ranges between a maximum of 21 degrees Celcius and a minimum of 9 degrees Celcius making the weather ideal for exploring the place.
