Kune Falls are the 14th highest waterfalls in India located in Lonavala with a total height of 200 metres. The enchanting waterfalls in Lonavala fall in three tiers amidst the backdrop of tantalising Sahyadris within the Lonavala-Khandala valley and makes up for an enchanting visual experience. Unfortunately, the road to the Kune Falls is under private and hence visitor entry is restricted.
You can only witness this gorgeous waterfall during monsoons. Due to high pressure winds, the water starts to flow backwards instead of falling down. This process is called "Reverse Waterfall".
Lonavala Waterfall is situated a little high up on the Bushi Dam near the Lonavala Railway Station. These waterfalls in Lonavala is a popular picnic spot in the area and has a number of small eateries and food stalls selling knick-knacks.
Kataldhar Waterfalls is situated around 6 kms from Lonavala and is one of the most stunning waterfalls in the region. It is a slightly offbeat waterfall in Lonavala and not known by many because it is hidden from view and can only be reached through a trek in the valley.
