Located in southern Zante or Zakynthos, which is in the west of Greece mainland, Laganas is a resort town famous among youngsters and family alike. Home to the largest beach in Zante, Laganas is a popular nightlife hub.

Apart from being the hottest spot for clubbing in summers, Laganas beach is known to play as a habitat or breeding ground for the endangered Caretta Caretta turtles, making it a part of National Maritime Park. Water activities on this beach are prohibited as a measure to protect loggerhead turtles. But one can try their hands on scuba diving to observe turtles in their natural habitat. Laganas is small and can be explored on foot. For longer distances, hire a car, a moped or use local buses.
