Chumthang Hot Spring, Leh Ladakh Overview
Located in the Leh district of Ladakh, the Chumthang Hot Spring falls on the way to the famous Tso Moriri Lake. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, this spring is located 3,300 meters above sea level. This hot sulfur spring is laden with minerals and the water is said to have therapeutic properties. The mineral-rich water soothes skin allergies and sore joints and muscles.
There are a few shops located nearby, you can purchase eggs and try boiling them in the spring water. This is a fun and engaging activity and the boiled eggs are said to have a unique flavour.
