Located on the Southern edge of Corfu in the Lefkimi region of Greece, Kavos is a beautiful seaside city famous among youth. Home to numerous stunning clear-water beaches, seaside resorts, Kavos is a lively place known for its playful bars, clubs with loud music, scenic views and watersports.

This Ionian island is not as popular as Santorini or Mykonos, but is pretty famous among students from Greek universities and young couples looking for party scenes that include excessive drinking and dancing. Due to several clubs offering cheap drinks and due to the presence of cheap hotels in Kavos, it has become popular among bachelors. It is avoided by families for its noisy notorious settlement.

Kavos boasts a 2 km long huge sandy beach surrounded by lounges, bars and restaurants. It is fully equipped with umbrellas, football, tennis and volleyball pitches and activities like bungee jumping and water sports. Several clubs offer swimming pools and pool bars, which are popular among people visiting Kavos. It is often treated as a night stay or weekend. Many people visit the city for the night and return to their accommodations at dawn.

The best way to move around Kavos is on foot or by a rented scooter or moped; however, to travel to other towns and surrounding areas, renting a car or taxi would be wise.
Kavos has two areas where one can find accommodation, First is called “the Strip”, and the other area is a few minutes away north of the port, in the main town area. Everything is available around the Strip.
Octopus is popular seafood, along with souvlaki, moussaka, stuffed peppers and pastitsio that are worth trying.
Shops close by 9:00 PM while restaurants open till midnight.
All the clubs, bars and lounges close by 4:00 AM.
Be ready to be screened for drugs and weapons by security at the club gates. Anything against the rule might result in blacklisting.
Some clubs abide by dress codes.

There are a few souvenir shops, grocery and utility stores along with some supermarkets along the Strip. Apart from basic shopping there are some tattoo shops on the island as well which are pretty popular among youth coming to party in Kavos.

Nightlife in Kavos

Nightlife is pretty much all that happens in Kavos all day and night with loud music, dancing and plenty of drinks. The party starts on the beach in the day and moves to streets and bars by evening after which night clubs and streets seem to be a big party scene with blaring music. Beaches in the evening become quieter and lounges and seaside clubs offer cocktails with chilled-out music.
