Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival (JFG) is a cultural festival that merges the west and east folk and cultures of India and Spain. A colourful and musical festival celebrated in the sands of Rajasthan, this eclectic festival aims to initiate and establish a link between Rajasthani folk music as well as traditional Gypsy culture and flamenco dancers of Spain. It is a platform that helps the artisans from the corners of the world to explore each other's cultural heritage. Musicians, dancers, singer and other artists add charm to this festival. The majestic Mehrangarh Fort plays host to this festival each year and this year it will be held from 3rd - 5th April 2019.

About The Jodhpur Flamenco & Gypsy Festival
The Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival was initiated in 2014 by the Spanish Embassy and the Mehrangarh Museum Trust. The festival's main aim is to establish and promote a link between Rajasthani folk musician and the legendary Flamenco and gypsy artists that live and travel the entire world. It is a space where all the musicians and dancers meet and create a platform where they can share their energies and creativities with the world. They strive to highlight the heritage of Rajasthan and give a contemporary view of desert music and dance. The festival's main concern is to trace the history of the Rajasthani and Northern Indian nomads and get them back to their ancestral routes.
Main Attractions at the Festival
The highlight of the festival is the electrifying performance by renowned Spanish Flamencos and the Rajasthani artists. There are about 25 Rajasthani artists and 19 Spanish Flamencos who together create an amazing show.

Cav. Roberto Nieddu is the Managing and Artistic Director of JFG Festival and hence its main guiding source. He is the Consular Correspondent in Rajasthan for the Italian Embassy in India. He is also the founder of CRN Foundations, a Centre of performing arts in Jodhpur. He aims to give the local artists the opportunity to showcase their talents. Gala Ribacova, a nomad and a renowned Flamenco dancer, are the Public and Institutional Relations Director. Roberto's other team members include Sonali Gupta, Nimmi Nair, Kunal Om Tewari, all experts in the field of travel, music and event management. The festival is indeed a great opportunity to witness the relationship and synergy between the Rajasthani music and Flamenco music.
