Ohori Park, Fukuoka Overview
A large pond that was once a moat of Fukuoka Castle, with a two-kilometre loop and stone bridges hopping between islands. It is a locals' park rather than a sight, which is its appeal. Free and always open. Two paid corners sit inside it, the Japanese Garden at 250 yen and the art museum at 200, and both close on Mondays.
