The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

The Dealey Plaza is a rather significant location for the history of Dallas. The site was originally the birthplace of Dallas which was founded in 1840. Almost a century later under President Roosevelt Work Administration, they started the construction of the road and vehicular parking to give the city a gateway. The project was constructed by George Bannerman Dealey,a civic superhero whose bronze statue of him was later constructed and installed in the plaza.

Originally the Dealey Plaza has seen as a gateway to the public until 1963 during which an unfortunate event took place which leads the plaza to be an internationally recognized murder sight. The assassination of John F Kennedy took place at the Dealey Plaza and the museum in his memory is located on the sixth floor of that very building.

The plaza is currently regarded as a landmark in Dallas. The plaza has been home to several protests and a start to social activism which happens even today. The plaza stands as an unfulfilled link to the teachings, legacy, and visions of the former president John F Kennedy.

By Train - The museum can also be approached using the Dart line trains. The West End station that connects the Dart lines is located just 3 blocks away from the Museum.

By Bus - One can also make use of the free D-Link Bus that connects various important places in the city. The bus stops right in front of the museum and hence, easily accessible by trains.
