Paxos Island, Corfu Overview

Lying just 15 from the southern tip of Corfu is a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea called Paxos or Paxi. The aquamarine clear sea and pebbly beaches make Paxos beautiful and quite an artist's paradise. The main tourist attraction here is the port of Gaios, which has a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and shops in Gaios for visitors.

The island has an interesting Greek mythology which signifies that Poseidon created this island by striking Corfu with his trident. Paxos is still off the radar in terms of tourism compared to Santorini and Crete. It has three main port villages, namely Lakka, Gaios, and Longos, where Gaios is the main port.  It is the smallest of the seven main Ionian islands and is mostly hilly, with the highest elevation point of 230 m.
