Adrenalin Forest , Christchurch Overview

Adrenalin forest, located in the Canterbury region, offers one the chance to experience over 100 fun yet challenging tasks suitable for all ages. It includes a series of rope bridges, barrels, swings, and flying foxes from platforms in the tree canopy. The participants are first made to wear safety harnesses, followed by a visual demo and instructions from a well-informed guide. Then, the participants perform these tasks under the supervision of the directions. As a result, all participants have ensured safety and are detailed about the course.

It offers mainly 6 courses, which takes about 3 hours to complete. These challenging courses are mainly aerial, up to 20 meters off the ground. As one course is completed, the next one will be tougher and higher. These courses are challenging not only physically but also mentally as one must think smart and make a move.

Activities

Activities included in the course are - the Indiana jump, crossed logs, barrels, wrecking balls, flying fox and Tarzan jump. Indiana Jump is a type of activity wherein a person holds on to a rope attached to the cable and glides from one end to another. This activity is similar to the Tarzan jump. However, the Tarzan jump is an activity experienced from a greater height compared to Indiana jump.

These activities are classified based on the height of the activity and their difficulty.

Level One is a simple challenge that includes all the basic activities like gliding from one end of a cable to another and walking on a net. One must focus on balancing and getting to the other side of the rope.

Level Two is yet another fun challenge. It includes walking on a bridge, and flying fox, which is basically a zip line activity. This level also includes Indiana Jump, which is a separate activity.

Level Three is where it gets a little challenging. One must travel from one end of the cable to another and then hold on to a net. It also includes other activities like crossed logs and log bridges. There is a second part of the third course called the 3a which includes a skateboard, vertical logs, horizontal logs, and a wrecking ball.

Level Four involves Tarzan jumps and walking on loops tied to a rope.

Level Five and Six demand a lot of physical strength and it involves challenging activities at the maximum height. For anyone who enjoys such active challenges, this is a must-to-do.
