Luang Ang Khang Agricultural Centre was the dream project of the 9th King of Thailand, King Bhumibol. Legend has it that King Bhumibol learned a devastating truth on his visit to Phak Phai Village. The village farmers were deforesting and destroying the river source to grow their own plants. Worried about the ecological effects, the king thought of a solution. He decided to purchase a vast land for research and also for the growth of the winter plants. Along with this, he ensured the farmers' respect and knowledge about growing plants ethically.

3. Suan Paedsib:
A beautiful English-style garden, Suan Paedsib was named in honour of the garden's project owner, Bhisadej Rajani, for his 80th birthday. This garden also boasts tons of winter plant species.

4. Chinese Plum Garden:
Ever wondered what those orange-yellowish fruits that grew on trees were? You will find your answer in the Chinese Plum Garden. These fruits, also known as Chinese Plums, as the name suggests, will be found grown on multiple trees in the garden.

While in Doi Ang Khang, look at the mini-world blossom of Kham Doi Garden. Housing some exotic plant species like Rhododendron, the garden hosts a range of interesting plants.
