The major objective behind establishing these gardens were to preserve and conserve the most indigenous flora of the country. Opened in 1913, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are huge and comprise of more than twenty thousand local species of plants, and herbs. It is essentially a maze of gardens, the most popular ones being the Scented gardens, sculpture gardens and Company's garden. Tourists widely appreciate the greenery and the beautiful views that this attraction offers. There is also a small oasis with trees around, leaving everyone spell-bound.
