Faust Wine Cellar, Budapest Overview
Located under Castle Hill, is the historic Faust Wine cellar offering a variety of Hungarian wine as well as the traditional pálinka, tapas, and Hungarian scones! The entrance to this magical wine cellar from the middle ages is inside the Hilton Budapest Hotel.
With an underground ‘city’ structured in the form of labyrinths and catacombs, the Faust Wine Cellar in the Buda Castle district offers a wide selection of the finest Hungarian wine. The way to the cellar is through the stairs leading down from the 13th century Dominican Cloister ruins which were incorporated into the famous Hilton Budapest Hotel later. This little wine cellar has a calm ambience which gives out the feel of medieval times and caters to the guests with the finest wine available in the country.
