Arthunkal Beach, Alleppey Overview

Historically frequented by the Portuguese, this beach is close to St. Andrew's Forane Church in Cherthala. Known as a fishing beach, it has plenty of boats along the shore. It is popular with locals but has fewer facilities and is not as clean as some of Kerala's other beaches. There are local stores selling snacks, along with fishers selling dried and fresh fish.
