Vantawng falls are the pride of Mizoram and one of its prime attractions. The waterfall which is located 137 km away from the capital city of Aizawl is a gem in its own right. Tucked in between the verdant valleys with thick greenery around the waterfall seems like a river of white milk from distance.

It is located in the Vanva River near Thenzawl which is known for its rampaging speed of flow. Vantawng Falls are testament to the amazing natural beauty that is hidden within the North-East.

September to January are the best months to visit Vantawng Falls due to greater clarity. The waterfall is visible running at its full might through the verdant Mizo Hills. The greenery surrounding the waterfall is also accentuated and thick during these months of the year. The winters months will be cold due to high altitude and some protection is required from the cold especially during night time. Hence be generous while you pack woollens.

Air: Lingui airport in Aizawl is the only airport in the state and is connected to Guwahati and Kolkata. From Lingui you can hire a taxi for Serchhip
Rail: Nearest rail head to Aizawl is Silchar which 158 km away, Silchar is well connected to Guwahati Railway Station. From Silchar you can catch a bus or hire a Tata Sumo till Aizawl.
Road: Aizawl is 450 km from Guwahati by road and is connected by National Highways to the capital cities of other North-Eastern states as well. There are connecting buses and hired Tata Sumo which provide connectivity to the city. Upon reaching Aizawl, you can hire a Tata Sumo or auto rickshaw for Serchhip or Vantawng Falls which 137 km from Aizawl.
