The Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival is annually held in San Francisco. It is the largest independently-owned music festival in the entire USA. The first time this festival happened was from August 22nd to August 24th, 2008. The inaugural festival itself was a success, with about 40,000 to 60,000 attendees per day. The Radio head was the first band to play at the event after dark. The festival is a much-awaited event for music lovers, concertgoers, individuals artists, and music bands all alike. The Festival is conducted at Golden gate park, where people come and enjoy the best music, beer, wine, food, cannabis, and a lot more that the bay area has to offer to the world.

Ticket Prices and where to book them
The tickets are available online on the official Outside Lands website. All tickets will be in the form of wristbands and will be mailed out approximately 4 weeks before the festival.General Admission ticket: Price: $395+feesIf the festival is postponed or rescheduled, your passes will be valued at the next date. If the event is canceled, then you will be refunded the full amount if the pass is bought from OSL ticket vendors or Front gate tickets. The festival only guarantees the validity and legitimacy of the tickets bought from its official site through their Front Gate ticket vendors.

If you want to sell your ticket, you would have to sell it for all three days and not for individual days. This is because the ticket is in a wristband form, and any band that is loosely worn or tampered with shall not be accepted at the festival entry. Once it is removed, the band can not be put back on.
How to reach the venue?
The San Francisco International Airport is 30 minutes away from the location of the festival, while the Oakland International Airport is about 50 minutes away from the festival site, so if you are flying into the city for the festival, these are points to keep in mind. United Airlines is the official airline of Outside lands, and they are providing discounts to participants flying in from other parts of the Bay Area for the festival.Hotel Zelos, Hotel Zetta, and Hotel Zeppelin are the official partners of the music festival, and you can stay here on your visit to the music festival.

Points to remember
- Outside Lands is not a camping festival, and so you wouldn’t be allowed to stay at the venue overnight.
- Smoking in the park is not allowed.
- In general, leaving the festival and re-entering the same day is not allowed. If it is an emergency, you could contact the festival supervisor at the entry or exit.
- Outside Lands is an all-ages event and can be attended by individuals of all ages. In addition to that, individuals who are underage do not require parental supervision.
- Children below the age of two years do not need passes to enter the festival.
