Brazil has reciprocal visa policy which means that it applies the same restrictions on a country's visitors as is applicable on a Brazilian travelling to that country. Citizens from most of the countries in Europe, South America and few countries in Asia and Africa are exempted from a visa if their stay does not exceed a period of 90 days. Tourists or business travellers from the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, India and China are also exempted from visa. Citizen from other nations which are not exempted need to apply for a tourist visa which is valid for 90 days and takes around 10 - 12 days for processing.

Indians citizens do not require a Brazilian tourist visa before their travel to Brazil. The tourist visa is valid for 90 days and can be applied online. The visa costs around INR 13,000 and takes 15-20 days to process.
