Let’s start.
This was my second trip with WanderOn. I’ve traveled a lot, mostly solo. I usually don’t write reviews, but this trip really deserves one because I had a great time.
Our trip began in Siliguri, where it was quite hot. To help everyone feel at ease, Ghosh Babu kicked things off, which really helped us connect. Since people came from different locations, states, and cities, it could have felt awkward, but it didn’t. From that moment, it felt like I was with a group I could enjoy.
Then we completed our immigration process and met our Bhutan guide, Naveen. He set a high standard for guides. If I ever have to judge a guide in the future, I’ll compare them to Naveen. The way he explained the history and context was deep and impressive, not just surface-level.
By the end of the day, we reached Phuentsholing and had our briefing. I liked that we always knew the plan for the next day before sleeping. Any changes or updates were clear. Nothing felt random or last minute.
Next, we traveled to Thimphu, Punakha, Phobjikha Valley, Paro, Tiger’s Nest, and other places. Each day felt like a new experience. We learned so much from Naveen about each place, gaining real understanding, not just facts.
Ghosh Babu was always energetic and engaging. He organized games and activities to keep everyone involved. And he was always available to help, even after the day’s activities.
I also loved that two people celebrated their birthdays on the trip. The way the whole group celebrated made me wish my birthday could be celebrated like that too. Late-night games, gossip, teasing, pillow fights, group walks, and horror stories all became cherished memories.
This was possible because of the group as well. Everyone came from different backgrounds and professions, but for those seven days, we felt like a family.
A special thanks to Mukambo for safe driving. Bhutan’s roads aren’t easy, but he drove skillfully, knowing exactly when to slow down and when to speed up.
Bhutan taught me a lot. I’ll definitely apply those lessons in my life.
And in the end, I just want to say:
Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din,
Baaqi Hain Bekaar Din
Hey Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din,
Baaqi Hain Bekaar Din
Jaaye Jaaye, Jaaye Jaaye
Ek Baar Jo Jaaye, Jawaani Phir Na Aaye
Hey Hey, Jawaani Phir Na Aaye
This can only be understood by those who were part of the group.
Thanks, everyone, for making this trip memorable.
Peace.
