Selangor Tourism

Located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Selangor, also referred to as Darul Ehsan, is the most developed of the 13 Malaysian states. Known for its swarming jungles, seaside resorts, and fishing villages, Selangor is within easy reach of Kuala Lumpur (68 km away).  

Shah Alam, the state capital is home to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque which is adorned with beautiful architecture, and I-City which is a commercial hub. The Batu Caves, one of the topmost attractions in Malaysia, comprises Hindu shrines and an enormous statue of Lord Murugan. There are thrilling hiking opportunities available at the Bukit Tabur and Bukit Fraser, a lush green area almost hidden by encroaching jungles. To experience the unhurried Malaysian village culture, visit Klang - the royal capital of Selangor. 

Many tourists prefer visiting the attractions of Selangor on a day-trip from Kuala Lumpur. However, to soak in the countryside, the best way is to hire a private car.
