This region usually attracts tourists who are longing for a laidback trip.

Although this region of Peninsular Malaysia is relatively underdeveloped, it has its own share of gorgeous landscapes and breathtaking adventure sports. Some of the most sought after tourist activities at Terengganue are kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving, snorkelling, mountain biking, 4WD adventure and rafting. The state’s festivities mostly revolve around indigenous celebrations such as Ramadan, Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and the Beach Festival. The food of Terengganu is an exotic affair. Some of the most-loved and much-delicious dishes include Keropok Lekor and Sata. It also serves plenty of the traditional Malay diet such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Dagang.
