Seilbahn Rigiblick, Zurich Overview
Seilbahn Rigiblick provides a five-minute ride between the scenic Zurichberg Hill and downtown Zurich, northeast of the city. The ride across the dense foliage and trees offers the chance to see breathtaking views of the city and the lake.
It was Zurich's first funicular cable car. One of the two funiculars situated in Zurich, the bright red, blue, and white metal-bodied trams were introduced in 1901 and are perfect for traversing across the hill while keeping a breezy ambience. Even though it is part of an integrated transport system connecting five different stations along a single track with an elevation of 94 meters, it also provides a scenic retreat during the ride.
