Tonhalle Zurich, home of the Tonhalle Orchester Zurich, is a grand symphony orchestra hall built in 1898 that provides a platform for art performances. It is recognized as one of the finest concert halls in Zurich, has been restored, fully furnished with colorful ornaments and modern amenities.
The hall was designed by two well known Vienna architects, Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, in a way that would provide the best orchestral experience to the members of the audience. While divided into several concert halls, the Gross Tonhalle is still one of the best venues for orchestral concerts globally and has been holding its reputation since 1898. Beethoven's symphonies and formal dance performances are regularly performed in the concert hall, which can accommodate 1400 people. In Tonhalle hall, the main orchestra band performs 50 programs with 100 musicians and has been awarded the Best German Record Critic Award.
