The Museum of Design is located at two different locations, Ausstellungsstrasse and Pfingstweidstrasse. It is a section of the Department of Cultural Analysis dedicated to visual communication, industrial design, craftsmanship, and architectural pieces. It has a collection of posters, designer products, aesthetic graphics, and art.
Featuring four astounding collections of posters, graphics, applied arts and design, the museum displays five to seven temporary exhibits each year featuring art collections and research materials. The museum's collection includes 330,000 posters, 30,000 designer products, aesthetic graphics, and more than 15,000 pieces of art made from glass, ceramics, textiles and many others, making it one of the most important museums in the world. Apart from these exhibitions, the museum organizes tours, panel discussions, artist interviews, concerts, theater performances and film screenings. Exhibit halls, cafeterias, gift shops, lecture rooms, and picture galleries provide a more comprehensive museum experience.
