Villagers quarried this limestone cliff until it was declared a protected geological site, and then turned it into something else: the walls are carved with wayang figures and the quarry floor is now an amphitheatre. Climb the steps and you look across the Prambanan plain to Merapi. It is ten minutes from Ratu Boko, so the two work as a single sunset trip rather than two separate ones.
