Planning a Trip? Ask Your Question
Set up by the late, former Prime Minister, Richard Seddon, after he was gifted with a cub (more famously known as King Dick named by Bostock and Wombwell's Circus), Wellington Zoo was the first-ever zoo the country had. Located in the green belt of Wellington, New Zealand this zoo has turned into an important tourist attraction over the years, for its varied wildlife it has to offer and several customized packages for the tourists to avail.
The zoo is not just a tourist attraction but it is also regarded to have played an important role in conserving wildlife and contributing to its welfare. It offers specialized breeding for the endangered, sun bear and the Sumatran tiger to name a few and has a collaborative regime with other zoos wide across to keep count of the genetic diversity and its equitable preservation. So keeping all these factors in mine, Wellington Zoo should definitely be on the top of a to-do list for any animal lover who plans to take a trip to New Zealand.
CLOSE ENCOUNTER- Other than just looking at animals upfront from proximity, this program offers very personal interaction with the wildlife where you can talk to the zookeepers to know your favorite animal’s habits, their eating patterns, and such. You might as well get a picture clicked of yourself with them, so keep a camera handy. Age restriction is regulated for certain animals, so does the time slots for each, so you may check into their official site for further details.
ZOO SLEEPOVER- What could be better than a day trip to a zoo? A night over at the place after the crowd disperses and the animals retreat to their natural patterns without any simulation. It’s raw, exciting and super fun. Take your group and avail for this package and get the rush of being right inside the lap of the fauna; listen to their snore, smell their odor, and feed them before they plonk to sleep. Sleeping bags/rolls are provided but you can always opt for separate mattresses and mats for yourself.
