Wayanad Heritage Museum, Wayanad Overview
Wayanad Heritage Museum, also known as the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum, is an archaeological museum with a collection of artefacts belonging to the tribes of the region. It includes rare artefacts from the 2nd century and items dated to the Neolithic era, including everyday objects, decorative items, terracotta figurines, and memorial stones. The museum is divided into four sections: Devasmruthi, Gothrasmruthi, Veerasmruthi, and Jeevanasmruthi, each covering different aspects of the region's history, from tools used in early wars and tiger hunts to stone idols from the 12th to 16th centuries and belongings of the Wayanad tribes.
