Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda, Vung Tau Overview
The Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda, built between 1961 and 1963, lies on Lon Mountain. Within the monastery compound is a 6-metre tall statue of Buddha and a Zen monastery at the foot of the mountain. The dense foliage inside the compound houses a variety of birds, and the path inside overlooks the South China Sea. This path is lined with statues that display important events in the life of Gautam Buddha, and there also is a stupa and six dragon statues along the way.
